Peapod Pre-School is set in the heart of the Golden Triangle area of Norwich, close to the local infant and junior schools. We are a not-for-profit charity and company limited by guarantee and overseen by a Board of Directors comprised of parent volunteers and the Pre-School managers.
Board of Directors
The Board help to manage and look after Pre-School’s finances, funding, policymaking, staffing, event organisation and fundraising and meet up once every half-term. It is made up of parents with children at the Pre-School and aims to ensure that the views of all parents/carers are heard. Board positions include:
- Chair (chairs the meetings, liaises with parents and managers, responsible for paperwork and licensing requirements)
- Financial Director (responsible for all financial aspects of the school including managing the budget, filing the income tax return)
- Secretary (Updates Companies House, records and distributes minutes for official meetings)
We hold many fundraising events throughout the year, including cake sales and seasonal tombolas to enable us to purchase equipment and resources. Our biggest event is our annual summer fete, which is open to the local community.
